Alexander’s Highland Market’s mission is to be a fully engaged neighbor supporting the health and well being of our community. Toward that end, we work in multiple ways. We foster healthy eating through education and store offerings, we support healthy economies by aggressively promoting local farmers and vendors on our shelves and in our promotions, and we partner and support community causes through charitable donations.

With those goals in mind we have established guidelines to follow when requesting a donation for your organization. Your adherence to these policies will expedite the processing of your request. Please understand that we receive many requests and are not able to accommodate every organization. Therefore, preferences are giving to organizations whose mission most closely aligns with the values of our company.

Criteria to keep in mind

  • A three-week notice is required for all requests to be considered.
  • Approved donations are limited to one per year per organization.
  • Alexander’s does not donate to “for profit” organizations/companies or to organizations/companies/groups raising money for another organization (donations must directly benefit the non-profit organization).
  • Requests must be made in writing on the requesting organization’s letterhead.
  • Requests must contain a mailing address.
  • Phone calls are not accepted and messages will not be returned.

  • Please include “Attn: Donation Request.”


  • Determinations will be made within 10 days of receipt of request.
