Thomas Mayeux, General Manager

A native of Gonzales with an impressive 35-year career in grocery management, Thomas embodies what Alexander’s Highland Market brings to the South Baton Rouge community: a homegrown sense of belonging seasoned with coast-to-coast experience and expertise. The youngest of seven children, he was educated at East Ascension High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. Having lived and worked from Chiefland, Florida, to Oahu, Hawaii, Thomas believes nothing compares to South Louisiana’s beautiful scenery and is happy to be back home in what he calls God’s Swampland Paradise, where he can more closely follow his beloved LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. He and Christie, his high-school-sweetheart wife of 30 years, have three sons, Dustin, Jesse, and Zachary, and four grandchildren, Ethan, Logan, Rylan, and Kallie. The family are active members of Household of Faith Church in Gonzales. “With God leading you and family and friends supporting you,” says Thomas, “all things are possible.”
