Apple Chips

applechipsThis simple but tasty recipe is perfect as an appetizer or after-school snack. We borrowed it from Catherine and Christina Mahtook, two LSU seniors who run their own health and fitness blog T.A.S.K. by Twinatics. The Mathook sisters are following a whole food, plant-based diet as they complete their studies in communications and study to become licensed personal trainers. 

Ingredients

  • 3-4 apples (we tried Daisy Girl and HoneyCrisp)
  • ground cinammon
  • sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 200. Next, core apples. Then, cut thin slinces and place on parchment paper on cooking sheet. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top of apple slices. Bake for 2-3 hours depending on the desired crispness.
