Blackberry Cobbler

With just five ingredients, this seasonal dessert is easy to make and even easier to love. Serve it with homemade ice cream for a true Southern summer treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups sugar, divided
  • 1 quart blackberries
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 egg (optional)

Preparation

Mix flour, milk, 1 cup sugar and 1 egg (optional) in a bowl. Melt stick of butter in a 9 x 13 baking dish in oven preheated to 350. Mix blackberries and 1 cup sugar in a separate bowl. Pour batter in pan. Add berries and spread lightly. Bake for 30 minutes.
