Healthy Sweet Potato & Veggie Bake

Baked-Sweet-Potatos-Veggies-1080x675This spicy seasoning, concocted by the Walker family from Ville Platte as an alternative to other brands they felt relied too heavily on salt, adds a zest you won’t soon forget. Top a medley of vegetables with it, and all you need is a ribeye, chicken breast or any other center-plate protein to complete your meal.


  • 2 sweet potatoes, ½-inch cubes
  • 1 zucchini cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 yellow squash cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, sliced
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp. rosemary
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Slap Ya Mama Original Blend Seasoning


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a medium baking pan toss together sweet potatoes, zucchini, squash, red bell pepper, garlic, bread crumbs, rosemary, and olive oil. Season with Slap Ya Mama Original Blend Seasoning. Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender. Serves 4. Enjoy!
