Helping Houston Neighbors Starts Here

Throughout the month of September, Alexander’s Highland Market is partnering with Associated Grocers to quickly get supplies to victims of Hurricane Harvey in the greater Houston area.

Beginning Friday Sept. 1, 2017, Alexander’s shoppers may elect to scan a $5 or $10 supply card at any register during checkout, with ALL proceeds going to those in need.

Associated Grocers will collect the donated funds from partnering grocery stores and then work with Second Harvest of South Louisiana & Feeding Texas to determine food products and cleaning or household supplies most in need. AG will then send trucks full of brand new necessities to partner food banks in the Houston area, which will distribute to shelters and residents in need.
