Tropical Fruit Salad

Plate full of healthy exotic fruits slices, from above on wooden table

For a lot of folks, fruit salad conjures images of apple, banana and orange chunks swimming in heavy syrup at the Thanksgiving Day banquet. That old standard may have its charms, but if you want to eat clean and add color and nutrition to your diet, savor the sweet and tart flavors of the tropic with this updated eat-the-rainbow version.

  • 1 pint strawberries, halved and stems removed
  • 2 kiwi, sliced into chunks
  • 1-2 mangoes, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 pint red seedless grapes
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lime juice, or to taste
  • 1 tsp. honey, or to taste

Mix all sliced fruit. Add lime juice and honey. Serve chilled.
